The Students at St. Norbert Catholic School had a wonderful week. In addition to the annual 8th grade volleyball game and our 5th- 8th Grade Talent show, we booked Fanfare, a live band, to do their "Dancing Through the Decades" Program. They are a group who can be booked through the "Young Audiences" program. They played songs from different decades, beginning with the 1930's through the 1990's and the kids got to get up and dance to some of the music (Duck Dance, YMCA, Twist, etc.) Our Pastor, Fr. Mitulski and Mrs. Sextro, first grade teacher, danced the polka for the kids.

After an all school Mass the students participated in a flag raising ceremony. While Cub Scouts from Pack 615 raised the flag bagpipes were played by Mr. Herr, brother of fifth grade teacher Mrs. Stearn.

Our 6th-8th grade students attended "Godspell" at Trinity Catholic High School and our K-5th graders got a visit from Fredbird and Andy Benes who presented the "Doin' it Right" Program. Our guests emphasized the importance of staying in school, exercising, and staying away from drugs and brought a Cardinal's video to watch. The 3rd-5th grade students wrote essays about all 3 themes that the program teaches while Kindergarten and 1st graders drew pictures of the 3 themes. A winner was selected from each grade level.
