North County Deanery

Advent 2021

Holy Name of Jesus Parish welcomes parishioners from all North County parish and our own members to prepare for the Season of Christmas with these special Advent celebrations:

  • Thursday, December 2nd, 7:00pm – An Advent Reconciliation Service celebrating our hope in God’s mercy and compassion on our journey of faith with opportunities for individual confession.

  • Wednesday, December 8th, 9:00am & 7:00pm – This holy day of obligation celebrates the promise of God’s faithful and generous love in Mary’s Immaculate Conception.

  • Tuesday, December 14th, 7:00pm – An evening of guided Adoration focused on the scriptures and hymns that invite Christians to prepare for Christmas and to renewal our faith in the human community where God is always present and powerful.

St. Ferdinand Parish Invites Everyone to the Following Advent Activities:

Living Rosary: Sunday December 12th at 3pm in Church. A Living Rosary with Music, Scripture and Reflection on the Joyful Mysteries.

Advent 40 hour Adoration: St Ferdinand Church will be open for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 11:59pm (Midnight) Thursday December 9th until 4:45pm Saturday, December 11. All are welcome to drop in for a visit.

Confirmation Adoration Event: December 14, 6-8pm. Adoration that is geared towards young people with awesome music, quiet time and personal faith witnessing. ALL ages are welcome. See flyer below.

All Day Confessions: Priests will be available to hear confessions all day Saturday, December 18th, from 8:30am - 4:30pm. Use the confessional in the gathering area.

The 15 parishes and 7 schools of the Federation of Catholic Schools in the North County Deanery are vibrant and active, with many events that bring parishioners, families and friends together in faith and fellowship.

Old St Ferdinand Shrine Hosts Christmas Concert

Come join us as we celebrate the season with a free Christmas concert at the Shrine and enjoy the holiday spirit by viewing the shrine decked out for Christmas.
