Christ, Light of the Nations primary students explored all about apples in September. Teachers used their iPads to create photo collages documenting the experience.

The Preschool made applesauce this week. each student was asked to bring in an apple, we peeled, cored, cooked and mashed them. we added sugar and cinnamon. It was very yummy! We learned how apples grow, from a seed to tree to bud, blossom, a bud then an apple. It takes a long time to become an apple.

KINDERGARTEN APPLE TASTE TEST

Last week before we went on our apple picking field trip we had a taste test of things made with apples. Everyone tried apple pie, apple juice, and applesauce. Most of the children were hesitant trying the apple pie, but once they did the pie was gone! We used the activotes to create a graph on the Promethean board to see which item they like the best. Apple pie won!
