The Northeast Deanery Children's Choir (pictured above signing at Christmas Eve Mass at Holy Name of Jesus Parish) was formed in 2014 but it's roots go back to when 4 of the parishes in the deanery combined schools to form John Paul II School. The objective is to provide an opportunity to children in 4th - 8th grades who do not otherwise have the opportunity to sing in their own parish or church choir. The NDCC is a traveling choir that sings for Mass once a month at four parishes who currently have participants; Holy Name of Jesus, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of the Rosary and Sacred Heart. Our final Mass for this year will be the5:00 pm Mass at Holy Name of Jesus on May 7. Auditions for the Choir will take place at the beginning of the 2016 - 2017 school year. The Choir was also recently featured on page 9 of the April 18 edition of America Magazine.
